it varies depending on what I believe those groups will accept about me

I tend to be more relaxed and open about my opinions when I am online, rather than when I am with someone in person, such as family or coworkers. But I also hide the fact that I am trans with a lot of my online friends.

Certain circles I interact with online believe that I am a cisman, assigned male at birth. Some of my online friends know I'm trans because I trust them with the information. But many do not because it feels good for me to not have to worry about them deadnaming or misgedering me. It relieves my dysphoria and allows me to be the man I am freely, without judgement. This is just one example. I hide certain aspects of myself with certain groups of people and it varies depending on what I believe those groups will accept about me, vs what they may not.
